Placing an Order

You may place your order by using our online shopping facility, telephoning us on: 01274 800334 or 07591 030188, in person at our premises or by writing to Sofabed Barn, The New Barn, Ryefield Works, 180 Highgate Road, Queensbury, Bradford BD13 1DS

You will receive confirmation of your order shortly after placing. We may also contact you by telephone or email to clarify your requirments and arrange a delivery date.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that there is adequate access to allow their purchase to fit into the room and position of choice.

All goods remain the property of Sofabed Barn until paid for in full.

Dispatch Policy

While every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. As all our items are handmade to order, goods are normally dispatched within 3-4 weeks. If we are unable to despatch your order within this time we will contact you by e-mail or telephone with an estimated despatch date.

Kindly note: During busy periods your order may take longer to be made. You will receive a confirmation email when we have received your order.

Missed booked delivery: Should we arrange a delivery date with you and you are not at home when our delivery driver arrives at your home, the missed delivery charge will be as follows :

Items delivered by standard delivery: £39. Items delivered by 2 person delivery service: £60. Any missed delivery charges must be settled before a new delivery date can be scheduled.

Delivery Address: If the incorrect delivery Address is given when the order is placed, and not corrected by the customer before despatch, a £15.00 re-routing charge will be made.

Faulty Items

If any damage occurs within the first 12 months of purchase due to a manufacturing fault, we will replace the faulty part, once we have received a photograph of the damage to the following email Address: info@sofabedbarn.co.uk

Cancellation and Returns

If you should receive the goods and wish to return them for any reason other than a fault, the goods must be returned within the statutory 14 days from delivery. You are then responsible for ensuring the item is returned to Sofabed Barn in perfect, unused condition, packaged in the original packaging or if you no longer have the original packaging, packaging of the same or higher quality to ensure it arrives back to us in perfect condition.

It is your responsibility to ensure your purchase reaches us in pristine, as new condition to allow it to be re-sold for it's full value. Should the return reach us damaged in any way, the value of your purchase will not be refunded in full so please ensure the item is well packed for the carriage.

Should you wish to arrange the collection using our courier service to collect your goods, a small cost will be made and deducted from your refund for this service. The cost depends on the item to be returned and the original method of delivery. If the item was originally delivered by the standard delivery service the collection cost will be £39. If the item was originally delivered by 2 person delivery service the collection cost will be £60. *Please note: This service is only available from a mainland UK collection location and not offshore.

On return of the item and after it has been checked to ensure it is in perfect, re-saleable condition, we will issue a refund of the full purchase price of the item. 

*Kindly note: This price will not include the original delivery charges which are non-refundable.

Exceptions to our returns policy :

Our returns policy covers the majority of purchases made from our store, however there is an exception regarding custom made orders you should be aware of and fully understand:

Items which are manufactured to a customer's specification, for example a sofa bed made to a customer's specific fabric / size can be returned under our returns policy however a charge of 20% of the purchase price plus associated return transport costs as shown above will be made unless the item has been incorrectly supplied, faulty or damaged.

The reason for this charge is that it is unlikley we can re-sell the item made to your specification for the full price and will have to greatly reduce the price in order to source a new customer for your unwanted item. Should you wish to return an item which has been incorrectly supplied, faulty or damaged, this should be noted on the delivery docket at the time of delivery in the presence of the delivery personnel and returned at that point. Please notify us of the issue at the earliest opportunity should this be the case.

Our returns policy is compiled to fully comply with the Distance Selling Regulations. 

Colours

Whilst all efforts are made to show the exact colour of our fabrics the colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations and varied settings of browser software and monitors. Please note: As a result of this Sofabed Barn will not take responsibility for a returned item due to a customers decision of fabric colour when placing their order. As the offer to post fabric samples (free of charge) is available upon customer request. Therefore our cancellation and return charges as mentioned above will apply.

Free Gift: Scatter Cushion(s)

Free complementary scatter cushions entitles customers to: 1 x scatter cushion 45cm x 45cm per chair bed order.

                                                                                           2 x scatter cushions 45cm x 45cm per sofa bed order.

Additional scatter cushions 45cm x 45cm may be purchased at an additional cost.

Confidentiality

All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely and only transmitted in encrypted form. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Prices and Tax

The price shown for the goods excludes postage and packing unless specifically stated. The charges for postage and packing are shown in the checkout once you have entered the country and method of delivery and before you are asked to confirm the order. The price you pay will include VAT for all deliveries within the European Union. For deliveries outside EU, VAT will be deducted from the total price. Delivery to non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of the goods. You will be liable for these duties.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.

Jurisdiction

The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Consumer Rights

None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
