Comfy sofa bed

So pleased that I finally found this sprung base click clack sofa. Bought the one with the pocket sprung pad and am absolutely delighted. Ferrara fabric is cosy and whole thing well constructed. Looks really smart and was easy to put together with 2 people took about 30 mins. Have been recommending to friends.

Just had a Canterbury sofa delivered to our Narrowboat. Absolutely delighted with the product. It fits just right and the measurements were spot on. Giving it a test run now with my feet up, with my wife and two dogs. Thank you and we will be recommending it to anyone who cares to listen.

Canterbury Pocket Sprung - wow

This is incredibly well made and well thought out. It took about an hour to put together (I took my time) the instructions were easy to follow.

It looks really nice and is so comfortable. I've not slept on it but we made the bed up and laid for a while, it's big and really comfy - the extra we paid for pocket sprung is well worth it.

Looks good, good value, fantastic build quality...what more can I say - very highly recommended!

The best sofabed I've ever encountered

I love our Canterbury sofa bed. I usually hate sofa-beds because of the thin mattresses, awkward bars, and difficult unfolding and putting away making for a frustrating and uncomfortable sleep. This sofabed is nothing like that.

We use it every day as our regular sofa and it's perfect and super comfy. When we have people stay over they always comment on how comfortable it is to sleep on. I've even had people ask where I bought it because they want one of their own!

There is also so much storage in this sofa. We've stashed loads under there as well as the spare duvet and pillows we use for it. The fact that it comes in pieces and is easy to assemble was also perfect for our flat as we had to navigate a very small narrow staircase. Being able to quickly assemble it ourselves was super convenient.

Glad I purchased

Bed arrived today, the guys put it in my desired room, which was worth it to me as it would have been awkward to do it on my own. After taking off the protective wrapping, it was very very easy to put together. probably took me 30 minutes to complete. It is sturdy and looks very comfortable to sit on and assume it will be equally comfortable to sleep on. Thank you Sofabed Barn, the click-clack system makes it very simple to convert from sofa to bed and back again.

Canterbury sofa bed

We are thrilled with our new sofa, which arrived early, in time for Christmas. We weren’t expecting it until mid January! It’s so comfy for sitting, lying around & sleeping & has been properly tested for the last 3 weeks! We’ve had 4 plus dog watching tv, no problem!! It’s easy to turn into the bed & loads of storage for all the bedding & then some!! Thanks guys, you’ve made our year!!

Absolutely love my sofa, beautifully made and easy to assemble. The first day we had it (after sitting on camping chairs for nearly a month) I put my feet up as did the dog too and we promptly both fell asleep in front on the TV. Absolutely GREAT customer service, the sofa wasn't due until after the New Year but spoke with Michael who said he would see what he could do for pre Christmas delivery, was delighted to get a call to say it would be delivered before Christmas- OUTSTANDING :) Delivery guys were great too. Just received our Canterbury 3 seater with a fully sprung mattress for our live aboard narrowboat.

We are so pleased with the product and the whole process of making this purchase.

Firstly the customer service was excellent. We received our purchase alot earlier than we expected which is fantastic.

The sofabed itself is so comfortable and a lot bigger than we expected as a bed and very stylish as a settee.

All in all we wouldn't hesitate to buy again when needed and will recommend to fellow narrowboat users.

Great Sofabed

Bought the Canterbury sofa-bed that was on display at the Crick Boat show 2021. Really pleased, it fits perfectly is very comfortable and makes an extra double bed for guests .

A fantastic sofa. Well made sofa with a quality finish. Easy to assemble and very comfortable.
We needed a sofa bed for our office / guest bedroom and the Canterbury was ideal. Opted for the memory foam mattress and hard wearing Ole fabric and it was well worth the upgrade.

Outstanding product and seller.

We looked for a good while for a sofa bed. All of which you can find don't appear to be comfy as sofas or small in size. We have a conservatory-come play room which needed some seating and is quite a good space. And in the event I'm relegated to the sofa after coming home a little worse for wear after a wales international day I wanted something that could convert to a bed. All queries and questions were promptly answered by the team. We are entirely web purchasers as we are so far away and the current covid situation. And I can't praise the process enough. And the product speaks for itself. Its stunning quality and assembles very quickly and simply. And the main thing.... it's comfy. I'm yet to sleep on it but I can tell already it will be great for myself and guests alike. Highly recommend this company and product.

Fantastic

Our house is quite small with the living room and dining room as one space. Which is why we needed a sofa bed that saves on space and can also seat more than 2 people. The item arrived in four pieces and was quite straightforward to assemble. The storage area underneath the seats are a decent size as well. The only part I struggled with was attaching the armrests but after a quick phone call, they gave me some good tips and it worked a charm! The sofabed itself is very comfortable and easy to operate. Great quality at a great price and quick delivery too despite the lockdown situation. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend this product.

Canterbury sofa bed

We just wanted to thank Michael and his team for our beautiful sofa bed.We wanted it for our narrowboat to be mainly used as a sofa and an occasional bed for any visitors. It exceeds all expectations! We love it a zillion percent! We went with Michael’s recommendation and had half and half, with the sprung seat and the memory foam back......and it is just perfect......so comfortable. We had the footstool which we’re also really pleased with.......it makes for another seat but great for putting our feet up and relaxing.
Ben was a true professional too when he delivered it......excellent efficient service.
When we were looking for a sofa bed, we went to visit the showroom first. From the start to finish, the service has been exceptional.

Canterbury 3 seater sofa, pocket spring mattress

I rarely write reviews, but so pleased with the product & sofabed barn, they deserve a great review.
Bought this for our spare room , it is so comfortable as a sofa & a bed. I visited the factory with the original intention of buying a different model, which would not have been the best choice for the room shape.
Michael was so helpful. Absolutely love the sofa bed , so well made & far superior & better priced than anything I looked at in all the major high street stores.
Now considering buying a second.

Absolutely amazing. Quality, style, comfort is second to none. Very easy to put together, I opted for the memory mattress which I feel is by far the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time. Beautiful sofabed and very pleased with customer service, would highly recommend

Canterbury 3 seat sofabed

We ordered a sofabed so that we could have guests staying in our living room.

As a sofa it has two back positions, so that it can be upright or reclined, and the mattress is comfortable to sit on. The arms of the sofa bed are padded but narrow so that it does not seem to take up a huge amount of room.

As a sofabed, the mattress is tied firmly to the slatted base, made of two pieces, which do not have an uncomfortable bar between them, so it is comfortable to lie accross.

We went for the upgraded mattress option and it is just fine to sleep on.

It can be turned into a sofabed by lifting up the seat of the sofa until it clicks, which releases the back to a flat position.
It feels lightweight and I can do it easily.

The storage space underneath is excellent and roomy for bedding.

Putting it together did take a little while but the instructions were clear and we did manage it.

The delivery was a little later than scheduled but we kept in touch with the sofabarn and it did arrive.

We really liked all of the different pattern and material options.

I think that the Canterbury 3 seater is a really first class product, and absolutely ideal for a narrow boat. We wanted a product that was very comfortable as a sofa, as this was to be its main use. Too many sofa beds compromise this comfort for the sake of being a bed also, but the Canterbury is perfect for both. Strongly recommend.

Miss & mr

We've been looking for a new sofa bed for ages and was recommended to have a look at sofa bed barn , we took the trip up to see the show room the quality and service is beyond outstanding nothing is to much trouble for these guys warm friendly advice and if they have it in the show room you can take it away with you that day all rapped up we took some measurements of our own and picked one we wanted and could not wait to get back to our boat so easy to put together and it's like they made it for our boat perfect thank you guys for every piece of help and advice you gave from 2 very happy and relaxed boaters

Narrowboaters

My sofa bed arrived this week, looks fantastic and the 3 seater is perfect for a Narrowboat plenty of room even when it is down to get past it. Fantastic service, delivery was efficient and he put it up in 15 mins So worry not all you boaters take the plunge I did and am so pleased I did.

I bought one of these 12 months ago and as a liveaboard use it every day as a sofa, and occasionally as a bed. The lads delivered and assembled it in minutes and its been a great buy! Thanks Sofa-Barn, I highly recommend you!

Even better than I had hoped for.

We bought this sofabed which arrived in good time for Christmas. First we slept on it, then visitors did, and we all found it very comfortable. It is really good as a sofa too. We would recommend it for both uses.

Superb!

This is such a great sofa and makes an excellent bed. It is the perfect size for a narrowboat both as a sofa and a bed, but I'm sure it'd look great in many other situations. Its obvious great care has been put into the design and manufacture of this furniture. Its so simple to use and the quality of the material looks like it was stand up to years of use.

It's great to be able to buy these things from a nice family company in the UK. Michael and Angela are so friendly and they set up the sofa for me in 10 minutes and explained how it worked.

If you need a high quality sofa bed that feels like a full sized sofa and can easily be used as a regular bed, this is the one!

This is the second Canterbury 3 seat sofa bed we have had from the Sofabed Barn (the first one stayed with the boat when we sold it). Great looking sofabed that is really comfy both as a sofa and a bed. The click clack mechanism is perfect for a narrowboat as it opens lengthways down the boat. The Canterbury 3 seat offers great quality at a great price. Helpful, friendly staff and exceptional customer service both times. I wouldn't buy a sofabed for a narrowboat anywhere else.

Canterbury 3 seat sofa bed

I visited the sofa barn before making my choice of sofa. I ordered the Canterbury 3seat sofa bed. I was impressed with the quality and versatility,it also offers storage which I was not aware of. It was custom made ahead of time,delivered and installed at my convenience by a expert fitted who explained fully how it worked. Now in place it is as comfortable as I expected. Thank you sofa barn for the excellent service.
